Come hang with the unimportant dead French. It's creepy.
If you’ve been (or not) at the Pantheon, where the cool French are, visiting the unimportant might seem like a bore. It’s not. Welcome to the catacombs of Paris.
Walk for 45 minutes surrounded by the skulls and bones of thousands of nobody-cares-about-us parisians, who where properly buried at some point, but their bodies were in the way of more important projects for the city.
Definitely something you won’t see anywhere else.
Be there early, queues can go for up to 90 minutes after 10am.
The Catacombs are at Lines 4 and 6, Metro Denfert Rochereau. 8 euros. No toilets, no cloak room.
